first annual Hitchcock Lake fishing contest

Saturday, June 21 at 6am thru Sunday, June 22 until 2 pm. Both South and North Lakes.

How to participate

Eligibility

To participate, you must be a Hitchcock Lake lakefront owner, own property with deeded rights, or be their guest. HLIA membership is not required.

$10 entry fee per contestant

Registration by Mail

Online registration is preferred but if entering by mail please include name of contestant, division, lake property address, and fee. Mail to HLIA, PO BOX 6224, Wolcott, CT 06716 (postmarked by June 14). 

Contest prizes

ADULT Division (13 years old and older)

Junior Division (12 years of age and younger)

Junior Division (12 years of age and younger)

 1st place for Bass: $50 Cabela’s gift card and trophy.

 1st place for Pan Fish sunfish, pumpkin seed, blue gill, perch, blue gill (no pickerel): $50 Cabela’s gift card and a trophy.

 1st place for Bass: A rod and reel from Cabela’s and a trophy.

 1st place for Pan Fish-sunfish, pumpkin seed, blue gill , perch, blue gill (no pickerel): Rod and reel from Cabela’s and a trophy.

 2nd place for Bass: $25 Cabela’s gift card and trophy.

SUBMISSION FROM CONTESTANTS PARTICIPATING:

On Saturday, June 21 and Sunday, June 22:

  • Submissions must be emailed to hitchcocklakefishing@gmail.com by 2pm on Sunday, June 22
  • Contestant photos must include a ruler showing the length of the fish
  • Include the fish species
  • Contestant’s name, age, address and phone number
  • Please submit ONLY the biggest fish for either category
  • Winners announced at the 3pm awards ceremony at Longo residence. All are welcome.
