HLIA MEMBERSHIP and donations

Greetings to all Hitchcock Lake residents! Hitchcock Lake is a beautiful natural resource right in our own  backyard. Our properties are very desirable and valuable. Your neighbors, working through the Hitchcock Lake Improvement Association, need your help in preserving and enhancing the quality of the Lake. Our biggest challenges are controlling weed growth and protecting the dam to maintain the health, beauty and  recreational quality of the lake. Weed treatment and environmental surveys designed to help us maintain and improve Hitchcock Lake represent over 75% of our budgeted costs. Our taxes do not pay for this.  Without everyone’s support, we will not be able to preserve the quality of the lake.

Even if you do not swim,  boat, or fish, we all benefit from a clean, healthy and beautiful environment, and the higher the quality of the lake, the more valuable our homes.

What is new for 2026?

Please reach us at hitchcock.lake@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

HLIA is using the Zeffy platform to keep your membership dues 100% fee free to make your donations more impactful.

By automating membership processes, this system streamlines operations and frees up valuable time for HLIA volunteers.

The HLIA lost $700 in online payment fees last year.

The Zeffy platform allows for payment by credit card, Apple pay and Google pay.

We request payment of your membership dues and boat fees using this online resource by May 1st each year.

The use of the fee free platform will put more of your dollars to work for lake management. A default auto renew option will be enabled and we encourage members to chose this option to support the HLIA annually (you may opt out). The platform applies an automatic fee tip which sustains the platform but it is optional and you may opt out.

Preferred method is to use the online payment options to free up volunteer time. Mailed dues payments can be sent to HLIA, PO BOX 6224, Wolcott CT 06716.

Nothing is changing with boat registration. The rules and regulations are the same and the items needed to issue an HLIA boat sticker remain the same. Scroll down for the items to forward to the HLIA to obtain your sticker.

Preferred method is to email copies of your documents to the HLIA to free up volunteer processing time. Mailed copies can be sent to HLIA, PO BOX 6224, Wolcott CT 06716

No, if you are just paying membership dues we ask you to use the Zeffy platform and simply fill out your information and process your payment, Easy! If you are registering a boat, we do still require documents emailed to the HLIA.
